The Sun Has Eyes
Western fantasy horror standalone
The Sun Has Eyes
Book one
The sun doesn’t set in the West anymore.
It lingers, watching.
Out west, daylight no longer ends. The sky hangs heavy in an endless golden noon, shadows rot where they fall, and entire towns vanish overnight beneath a watching sun that seems almost alive. Vampires hide underground in blood-soaked speakeasies while whispers spread across the frontier about something vast moving behind the light.
Vampire outlaw Kieran Grimshaw has survived the cursed west for a long time by following one rule: never look up.
Then Lucy Darkthorne rides into his world.
After a failed rescue leaves her marked by an ancient force known only as the Pale Witness, Lucy becomes the target of Damien Crowe — the terrifying Prophet of Noon, a charismatic cult leader searching for the Mouth, a living wound beneath the frontier capable of tearing reality open completely.
Now Kieran, Lucy, and their outlaw gangs must cross a dying west filled with haunted churches, buried mouths beneath the earth, corrupted congregations, and hidden vampire speakeasies where magical jazz music keeps the madness at bay for one more night.
But the farther west they ride, the thinner the world becomes.
The stars begin to move.
The dead begin to sing.
And something behind the sun has started looking back.
THE SUN HAS EYES is a grimdark weird-west horror fantasy blending eldritch terror, gothic romance, vampire outlaws, and cosmic apocalypse into a brutal standalone.
